Whereas physicians of the then Pakistan formed an Association of their own in the year 1956 under the name of “ Pakistan Medical Association”.

Whereas the physicians of East Pakistan organized themselves in that Association in a Zonal basis under the name of  “ Pakistan Medical Association (East Zone)”.

Whereas the “ Pakistan Medical Association (East Zone)” participated in the National Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 and changed its name to “ Bangladesh Medical Association -BMA ”. ...more >>
